'Supporting the welfare, rights and inclusion of chronically ill and physically disabled doctors and medical students'
Mental Health Resources
The majority of the personal experience and knowledge held by the members of this Network is specifically related with physical chronic illnesses and disabilities rather than mental health conditions. This is in no way meant to detract from the significance of mental health conditions or suggest that people with mental health conditions do not need the same sorts of support as those with physical conditions. It is simply a function of chance that the people who have volunteered time to the Network have, in the most part, physical rather than mental health conditions themselves.
We believe that disability as a result of any long term health condition is likely to infer a similar need for advice and support when embarking upon a career in medicine and will produce similar challenges. The resources on this website are therefore relevant to all conditions, physical or mental
